It's Christmas Time

It's that time of year again!!!  I love Christmas.  Decorations, presents, family and food!  I have most of my decorations up and helped with my sisters last night.  My husband and I also did Black Friday this year for the first time.  I am glad we did because we are almost completely done with our christmas list and our daughters too! Now if I could get someone over here to wrap all of it, I would be set!  I plan on taking pics of my decorations as soon as I get my house back in order!

Old window, new look...

I have a couple of old windows in the back which were originally bought to decorate my little girls nursery with but, of course, I changed my mind on the design...so i think i'm gonna finally put those windows to use!  I have a few ideas for them and I wanted to share (thanks to fellow bloggers)!

I really like the look of the windows with the flower boxes underneath.  I have a spot picked out for one in my backyard but I am going to use it for herbs.  I can't decide if I want to do a shelf like the first one or an actual window box like the 2nd.

For the other window that I have, I am going to use it as a picture display in my guest bedroom.  This is what I was gonna do originally in the nursery.  I want to hang it over the bed...

Now that I have my ideas in line, I need to get busy on it!!!  I will post the finished products!  Wish me luck!!!

Monogram Idea

So I am trying to come up with a new design plan for my master bedroom and I stumbled upon this neat monogram idea from Ballard Designs.  I think this is very unique and adds some personalization to my walls.  I just absolutely cannot turn down using a monogram in any room of my house.

I am thinking that I just might have to try this out and see how it looks!

What are you thankful for???

As Thanksgiving draws near, I think to myself about all of the things (big and small) that I am thankful for in my life.
#1 - the precious little jewel that calls me Mommy.  I don't know what I would do without her.  She makes me laugh, cry and wonder "Where did she come up with that?" every day!  She is truly a blessing for me and my husband.

#2 - my wonderful husband of 5 years.  It is so nice to have a best friend, hunk and all around good man rolled into one person that I get to spend the rest of my life with.  He has been there for me through the worst of the worst times and I couldn't imagine going on without him.

#3 - my supportive and awesome family.  My poor dad had to live in a house with 2 twins, 1 tomboy and his wife (my mother).  So needless to say, he has learned a lot.  My family is really close and would do anything for each other.  Not many people get to say that.

I could go on and on about the things that I am thankful for but I feel like this is what matters the most.  If I don't post again before Thanksgiving, everyone have a great holiday.  Take a second to really reflect on what you are thankful for!
